Green Tourism

We are committed to protecting our planet and making our building as sustainable as possible, minimising negative environmental impact as much as we can.

In 2015, the Dominion Theatre was the first West End theatre to be presented a prestigious GOLD Award by the Green Tourism Scheme.

Here are just some of the ways we continue to make the Dominion a greener place:

• All our disposable cups are biodegradable
  Made from PLA, a renewable material made from plants, our Vegware cups can be composted rather than adding to the global plastic waste crisis.
• All our cleaning products are eco-friendly
  Green Tick cerified cleaning products are used throughout the theatre.
• None of our waste goes to landfill
  Any non-recyclable waste collected from the theatre is incinerated to produce green heat and electricity, so our waste could be heating your home!
• All our energy comes from a 100% renewable supplier
  Our building is powered by totally green energy, helping us to significantly reduce our carbon footprint.

We aim to be champions for the environment, constantly looking for ways we can make our theatre more sustainable. Whether consolidating multiple stock deliveries into one single delivery to minimise air pollution or switching dressing room lights to LED bulbs to save energy, we are conscious of the environmental impact of everything we do.
